„I'm not defending criminals or defending crimes, I’m defending the rights of accused people. That applies always and everywhere. Criminal defence knows no national borders.”

For more than a decade, I have been working as an independent criminal defense lawyer, specializing in defending complex and often cross-border criminal cases.

A particular focus of my practice lies in defending so-called cryptophone cases (EncroChat, SkyECC, and ANOM) as well as cross-border cases involving organized crime.

Another core area of my work is defending clients in extensive investigations, particularly in the fields of money laundering and fraud, which often intersect with multiple jurisdictions. Additionally, I possess extensive experience in extradition law and represent international clients in extradition proceedings in Germany as well as in matters involving European Arrest Warrants and Interpol actions.

A further emphasis of my practice is my specialized expertise in handling modern investigative methods. I have in-depth knowledge of digital evidence and the analysis of electronic communications, which plays a critical role, especially in cases involving EncroChat, SkyECC, and ANOM data. Moreover, I am deeply engaged with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in criminal investigations, whether in analyzing large datasets or in the application of algorithmic decision-making systems by investigative authorities. My ability to comprehend and critically assess complex technical contexts enables me to precisely scrutinize and challenge investigative approaches, providing my clients with a decisive advantage in an increasingly digitalized law enforcement landscape.

I represent my clients nationwide in jury trials, economic crime chambers, and narcotics crime chambers, as well as before all district and regional courts, higher regional courts, the Federal Court of Justice in criminal matters, and the Federal Constitutional Court.

Beyond my work in German courts, I also represent clients before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and in criminal cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). This experience allows me to strategically link national and international legal issues, providing comprehensive advice and defense for my clients.

In addition to my role as an attorney and criminal defense lawyer, I regularly share my knowledge and experience as a speaker at national and international conferences. I value the exchange with colleagues and am committed to advancing and strengthening criminal defense, particularly on topics with international relevance.

My goal is to support my clients not only with legal expertise but also with foresight and dedication—whether in German courts, European institutions, or cross-border proceedings.
